Poverty reduction efforts and development initiatives occupy global agendas. Responding to these agendas, governments as well as INGOs, devise programs aimed at reducing poverty and stimulate development. Prior to the implementation of these developmental programs, there is a need for assessing the existing contextual situations and after delivering the developmental program, the evaluation must be conducted to oversee the impact of the programs on the lives of the beneficiaries. We believe that apply local approaches and innovative methods can be the most effective tool to tackle poverty; studying these topics leads to an in-depth understanding of the poverty context.
